The Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) medical consultation service is back online after it was marred by technical difficulties on Wednesday, April 7, because of the high volume of inquiries it received.

The Bayanihan E-Konsulta Facebook page announced that it is again open to receiving inquiries about medical consultation from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m today.
“Naayos na ng ating team ang naging technical issue sa Bayanihan E-Konsulta page kanina, na dala rin ng pagdagsa ng requests sa ating system (Our team fixed the technical issue in the Bayanihan E-Konsulta page earlier, which was caused by the influx of request in our system),” it said.
“Humihingi po kami ng paumanhin sa aberyang nangyari. Tuloy-tuloy ang ating team sa paglalayong matugunan ang mga natanggap na nating E-Konsulta requests sa lalong madaling panahon (We apologize for the inconvenience that happened. Our team will continue aiming to answer the E-Konsulta requests that we already received at the soonest possible time),” it added.

The OVP’s volunteer of doctors and call center operators will answer all inquiries sent today by tomorrow.
As of posting, the Bayanihan E-Konsulta Facebook page has 12,928 likes and 14,309 followers.
On Wednesday, it was Vice President Leni Robredo herself who apologized for the technical difficulties that the Bayanihan E-Konsulta Facebook page encountered on its launch date.
The online consultation platform, which is accessible on free data, aims to decongest the number of patients going to hospitals and clinics for medical appointments.

Robredo earlier said its goal is to make medical consultation easily accessible to those who do not have the means to pay for one.
The service is open to COVID and non-COVID-19 patients in the National Capital Region Plus (NCR Plus) bubble, which includes Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.
More than 2,300 volunteer doctors and telephone operators have heeded Robredo’s call for a free online medical consultation program. Though there are already existing teleconsultation services, the vice president’s Bayanihan E-Konsulta initiative is accessible on free data and focuses on patients from the NCR Plus bubble.
