The Las Pinas City government will start on Friday, April 9, the distribution of “ayudang cash” to residents affected by the two-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the distribution of P1,000 cash per individual or P4,000 per family will be made simultaneously at designated distribution centers in the city’s 20 barangays.
Aguilar said 126 families were listed in the city government as beneficiaries of the “ayudang cash”.
She said the city has a total of P501-million fund given by the national government to help families affected by the ECQ.
“We will give it in cash and not in kind for immediate distribution,” Aguilar said.
The mayor said they already identified 20 distribution centers, mostly covered courts, in each barangay in the city for the smooth payout.
Aguilar said the beneficiaries of the “ayudang cash” were listed in the social amelioration program (SAP) and approved by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR).
She said the other beneficiaries were those under the list of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
