Go debunks ugly speculations about Duterte on social media; President is buried in a ton of work

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go doused speculations on social media that President Duterte was sick or was stricken with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) when he posted a photo of him and the President talking inside a room while pouring over work in an undisclosed place in the country.


“Sa mga may masasamang hangarin, Wag muna kayo mag celebrate!! Nandito lang si Tatay Digong. Tambak ang trabaho,” Go said.
"Hindi ito ang panahon ng pagsisisihan kundi panahon ng pagtutulungan," he added.
Go also launched a broadside at the followers of Vice President Leni Robredo and the Liberal Party, when he said: “Suot ko damit kong dilaw pero DU30 yan!!!”

And to finally silence the President's critics, Go appealed: “Sana tulungan na lang natin ang ating mahal na Pangulo para malagpasan natin ang crisis na ito bilang nagkaka-isang mamamayang Pilipino. Salamat po."

Social media went abuzz with speculations about Duterte's health after it was announced that he won't be holding his regular Wednesday address to the Filipino people on April 7, 2021.

The Palace explained that the decision to have the President skip the regular address was reached after some members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
