RTC Judge Palmones named CA associate justice

President Duterte has appointed Valenzuela City regional trial court (RTC) Judge Nancy C. Rivas Palmones as Court of Appeals (CA) associate justice.

The new justice took over the post vacated by retired CA Associate Justice Edward B. Contreras.

The document on Palmones’ appointment was transmitted to Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo on Wednesday, April 7, by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea.

Palmones took her oath of office before Supreme Court Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul B. Inting.

She was a government prosecutor before she joined the judiciary. She is the wife of former Party List Rep. and radio broadcaster Angelo Palmones.
