Miss Philippines Kelley Day, who won 1st runner-up at Miss Eco International 2020 pageant in Egypt last Sunday, underwent medical testing procedures for COVID-19.

This was announced by Arnold Vegafria, national director of Miss World Philippines, in a statement issued today, April 6.

Rumors said that some of the candidates of Miss Eco International 2020 pageant were tested positive for COVID-19 after the finals last Sunday.

Arnold Mercado, general manager of Miss World Philippines, said that the Kapuso star is still in Egypt and she was expected to fly to the Maldives for pageant duties later.

However, with rumors that some of the girls were tested positive for the virus, he does not know what will happen to the activities of the girls.

On Facebook, organizers of Miss Eco International pageant vowed to ensure the safety of the candidates.

"Miss Eco International Organization will ensure the safety of all our candidates. All accusations made publicly against us may have taken out of proportion. We are trying our best to coordinate with everyone. Including the ladies who are still here in Egypt.

"And we have fulfilled our duties as we promised And we're taking a good care of all our infected queens We thank all our national directors and candidates for their support and understanding," pageant organizers said in a statement released on April 6.
