A fire broke out in a commercial high-rise building in Makati City on Tuesday afternoon (April 6), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

Superintendent Ian Guerrero, BFP-Makati chief, said the 15-story building on fire was LPA Building located on Leviste Street in Salcedo Village, Makati.
"The fire started on the 15th floor of the building. That floor is being occupied by a company, they were using it as an office space," he said.
"There were employees on that floor, but their office was implementing skeleton workforce due to the enhanced community quarantine," Guerrero added.
He said that the fire did not spread to other floors as they were able to quickly contain the blaze.
BFP-Makati placed the fire on the second alarm around 3 p.m.
The fire chief said it was declared fire out at 3:48 p.m.
Nobody was reported injured after the blaze, he added.
Fire investigators are still probing what caused the fire on the 15th floor.
