CHR assures work continuity despite office closure due to ECQ
The protection and promotion of human rights never stop.
This was assured by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) on Tuesday, April 6, despite the physical closure of its offices due to the extended enforcement of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

"In view of the extension for another week of the ECQ in NCR (National Capital Region), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, all offices in the Central Office including NCR and IV-B shall remain to work from home from Monday until Thursday," NCR posted on Twitter.
"Hotlines and other reporting channels, as well as our social media accounts, shall continue to be open and ready to attend to your concerns. Please stay tuned for updates," it said.
The CHR added that it will continue conducting investigations even as it adopts a work-from-home scheme. For Filipinos who have urgent needs or concerns, the CHR said that they should get in touch with their nearest Regional Office for quick and immediate action.
The CHR likewise shared that they can be reached through their Citizens’ Help and Assistance Division with the email address [email protected] and cell phone numbers (0920)5061194 and (0936)0680982.
The CHR's E-Lawyering Program is still in place so Filipinos can get access to immediate legal assistance concerning human rights violations. They can report incidents by contacting the cell phone numbers (0961)4508590, (0961)4512424, and (0961)4508568 or e-mail [email protected].
Lastly, the CHR is encouraging people to rely on their "e-Report sa Gender Ombud" for cases of gender-based violence: https://www.gbvcovid.report.
