It was too good to be true.

JM de Guzman and Arci Muñoz made fans giddy recently, making as if they have finally decided to get romantically entangled several years into their friendship.

Well, it was just a joke.

Apparently, the two were simply helping Arci's brother Manolet propose to his girlfriend.

The whole thing was revealed in Arci's vlog dubbed "Boracay revelation."

Fans were quick to air disappointment about it.
