Overseas voting registration activities remain suspended until April 11- Comelec

Due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region, overseas voting registration activities will remain suspended until April 11.

In an advisory, the Comelec Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) said their local field registration centers at Comelec Main Office, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Aseana, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), SM Manila shall remain suspended until April 11, 2021.

The Comelec said registered overseas voters and overseas voting registrants with urgent and emergency travel needs who require OV-related certifications, may contact the OFOV through the following: OFOV Facebook Page: (http://fb.com/overseasvotingph), OFOV Email Address ([email protected]), and online Voter Certification Application (OVCA) via MS Forms: (https://tinyurl.com/5egc54jp).

"OFOV personnel will be contacting all applicants with pending requests for the issuance of OV-related certifications to verify their identity and registration status during regular office hours from April 5 to 8, 2021," read the advisory.

Those with appointments scheduled for this week, the poll body said, may contact the OFOV for rescheduling.

On Sunday, Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez announced that voter registration activities will still be suspended in all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) in the NCR-plus area from April 5 to 11, 2021 due to the extension of the ECQ.
