The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said Monday, April 5, that it is neither holding any review classes nor publishing or distributing any review materials for the Career Service Professional and Subprofessional Examination (CSE).
The Commission made this pronouncement, after receiving reports that its logo has been used in review materials, which are being offered and soldin the market, either through bookstores, social media, or online selling websites.
In a statement, the CSC said "it has not given permission to any individual or entity to use its logo in review materials" and "also does not sell reviewers or conduct review classes, or give permission to any person or entity to undertake the same.”
The Commission warned that those who use its logo without express authority, "for profit or for any purpose may be subjected to criminal prosecution under applicable laws"
It said availing reviewers for career service examinations, which were supposedly prepared by CSE topnotchers, "shall be at one’s own risk”
“May we advise again the public that the CSC neither holds any review classes nor publishes or distributes any review materials for the Career and any Civil Service examinations,” it said.
"Further, the CSC does not accredit and has not accredited any review center for the purpose of offering and holding review classes to prospective career service examinees,” the CSC added.
