36 employees at Paranaque’s legislative building contract COVID-19

A total of 36 employees of Paranaque City's Legislative Building and Hall of Justice contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) prompting the city government to place the building under lockdown from April 5 to 11.

City administrator Atty. Fernando Soriano said City Health Officer Dr. Olga Virtusio also recommended the conduct of mandatory RT-PCR tests on all occupants of the Legislative Building and Hall of Justice.

Soriano said offices that are being housed in the Legislative Building include those of the Vice Mayor, City Council Secretary, City Council Offices, Barangay Operations Office, and SK Federation.

He said the Legislative Building was placed on lockdown on March 16 - 21after several employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The city administrator said containment and disinfection activities will be conducted in the two buildings -- the Legislative and the Hall of Justice.
