Voter registration in NCR+ remains suspended amid ECQ extension
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said voter registration will remain suspended in the National Capital Region and its nearby provinces.

Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez said they made the decision to further suspend the registration of voters due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal.
"Because of the ECQ extension, for NCR+, #VoterRegistration is suspended," he said on Twitter Saturday, April 3.
For the rest of the country, Jimenez said, voter registration will not be suspended.
He added that voter registration is open from Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The poĺl body also suspended voter registration in the NCR plus areas when the ECQ was imposed from March 29 to April 4.
Malacañang on Saturday announced the extension of the ECQ in NCR plus areas from April 5 to 11.
Voter registration activities for the May 2022 national and local polls will run until September 30, 2021.
