Rulings of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) can now be viewed and downloaded from its website, www.bir.gov.ph.

BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay says the accessibility of rulings through the Internet is part of the agency's digitalization program, which makes it easier for taxpayers to transact business with the agency.

The BIR chief explained that tax rulings are the official position of the bureau on the questions sought by taxpayers relative to the clarification and interpretation of local and international laws.

Dulay said more than 83 percent of the rulings issued since 2016 have already been uploaded on the agency website.

The digitalization project is expected to be completed before the end of this month.

For further clarification, the revenue official advised taxpayers to coordinate with the law and legislative division, or the international tax affairs division.
