ILOILO CITY—Eight cops assigned in Western Visayas region were recently dismissed after the ruling made by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM-6).
Dismissed from the uniform service are Police Executive Master Sergeant Ritzie Ruiz, Police Staff Sergeant Rodel Paulan, Police Staff Sergeant Dinaree Sia, Police Staff Sergeant Alexis Jutis, Police Executive Master Sergeant Dante Sison, Patrolwoman Ma. Agnes Bagatela, Patrolman Wilnie Bagatela, and Police Staff Sergeant Ricardo Morante.
All eight cops were assigned to different units of Police Regional Office (PRO-6).
“All of them were dismissed for grave misconduct,” said Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson.
Malong told Manila Bulletin the latest batch of dismissal serves as a stern warning for cops assigned in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
“We are serious in our internal cleansing program. Those who have violations will be punished and may face dismissal,” Malong reiterated.
Meanwhile, the cop assigned at Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) who shot a neighbor while off-duty is facing administrative cases. Corporal Marvin Seasol is now facing both criminal and administrative cases.
