Derek Ramsay reacts to 'instant tatay' remark

Derek Ramsay took no offense being tagged an "instant tatay" to Elias, his new GF Ellen Adarna's love child with ex-partner John Lloyd Cruz. 

"What is wrong with that?! Single moms are beautiful strong women," he said. 

Several other celebs are supportive of the partnership.

"Beautiful family," actress Nathalie Hart commented on a photo of them all together. 

Nikka Garcia added: "Answered prayer nasad ni."

Some netizens are sad for John Lloyd, prompting others to share their two cents on the issue.

Said one, "Blended family is not bad. Sometimes, circumstances in life make things imperfect but that does not mean you need to dwell on it, just like Ellen and John Lloyd, their relation did not work and they moved on. As long as they are not neglecting their son, it's all good."

Another chimed in, "There is so called co-parenting. Sa edad ni Elias dapat lang nasa mami nya diba? Malay natin pag 7 years old na sya pwede na sya magpalipat lipat. like Ellie to Jake and Andi. Maayos nila napapalaki ang anak nila kahiy di sila nagkatuluyan."
