Over 10K frontliners vaccinated in Manila

Over 10,000 frontline workers in the City of Manila have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Wednesday (March 24).

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso announced that a total of 10,412 individuals—including health workers, social workers, contact tracers, jail officers, and members of Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs)—have been inoculated as of 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Manila city government also said that it registered the biggest single-day number of vaccinations on Wednesday since it started its vaccine roll out on March 2.

A total of 2,428 workers received their Sinovac and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center and Sta. Ana Hospital.

The vaccine roll out in the capital city will resume on Friday (March 26) after the city government received additional supplies of COVID-19 vaccines on Thursday (March 25).

The national government turned over 7,890 AstraZeneca vaccine vials to the Manila city government.

They were stored at Manila's COVID-19 Vaccine Storage Facility at Sta. Ana Hospital and will be deployed to the said hospital and Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center.
