A fan of organic products? Try taking up organic agri courses in Nueva Vizcaya

A school in Nueva Vizcaya has started to offer five technical-vocational courses that will promote organic farming.

The Nueva Vizcaya Farm School (NVFS) has recently announced the opening of these courses namely Organic Vegetable Production, Organic Concoctions and Extracts Production; Organic Chicken Raising; Organic Fertilizer Production; and Organic Small Ruminants Raising which will give the students Organic Agriculture Production National Certification -II.

Assistant Provincial Planning and Development Officer Engr. Jonem Gacad said these courses have already been accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in 2019.

"Our NVFS is open to all interested persons who would like to avail of our services especially now that the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing. This will help us in our alternative ventures on organic farming," said Gacad who is also NVFS’ designated training head.

The NVFS is managed and operated by the provincial government which aims to promote and boost organic agriculture in the province.
