Rain or Shine bolstered its roster for the 46th PBA season as it signed on Monday, March 23, three of its selections from the 2020 Draft.

The Elasto Painters inked a three-year deal with their fifth overall pick Santi Santillan.

Second round picks Franky Johnson (No. 17) and Anton Asistio (No. 22), meanwhile, agreed to two-year and one-year contracts, respectively.

The 25-year-old Santillan, who made a name for himself with La Salle in the UAAP and being one of the top players in 3x3, is expected to boost RoS' frontline that has veterans Beau Belga and Jewel Ponferrada along with newly-acquired Bradwyn Guinto, Norbert Torres, Prince Rivero and Vince Tolentino.

Johnson, 27, was also a key figure in the 3x3 circuit and also served as one of the top scorers for AMA along with No. 1 overall pick Joshua Munzon in the PBA D-League.

For his part, Asistio, 25, was a two-time UAAP champion with Ateneo before playing in the D-League, MPBL and Chooks to Go 3x3 Pilipinas.

Johnson and Asistio are seen as huge additions to Rey Nambatac, Javee Mocon and James Yap in the Elasto Painters' backcourt.

New head coach Chris Gavina even described Johnson and Asistio along with fellow second round pick Andrei Caracut (No. 23) as "captain class players".

"We look at these players as being captain class players who not only possess the talent to succeed at the PBA level but also display a great deal of character and grit when needed," Gavina told Bulletin-Tempo in a previous interview.

The Raymond Yu and Terry Que-owned franchise will look to win its first title since the 2016 Commissioner's Cup come the 46th season of the league.
