Don't bother trying: Baguio, Ilocos Norte, Boracay to turn away tourists from NCR+
Baguio, Ilocos Norte, and local government units (LGUs) in Western Visayas (Region VI)--home to world-famous Boracay Island--have officially said that they would temporarily refuse tourists coming from the so-called "NCR+ bubble".

The Manila Bulletin learned this development via separate travel advisories from these popular tourist destinations.
All three advisories cite compliance to the recently issued Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No.104 in prohibiting leisure travelers coming from the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal (NCR+ bubble) into their jurisdictions from March 22 to April 4, 2021.

The move is seen to further reinforce the resolution which, in the first place, limits the movement of people residing in the bubble to within that bubble only, unless the travel is deemed by authorities as "essential". The two-week travel bubble was enforced Monday, March 22.
The national government's pandemic task force came up with the directive in an effort to halt the alarming rise in new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases this month.
The NCR+ bubble enforcement came at a time when Filipinos were preparing to experience summer vacations in the "new normal" for the first time. In this regard, the three travel destinations instructed the concerned establishments to facilitate the rebooking of their clients coming from the bubble.
