More than 1,000 healthcare workers infected with COVID-19 since February -- DOH
The Department of Health (DOH) said a total of 1,154 healthcare workers were reported as confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases from February to March 21.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire revealed this information in a virtual forum on Monday, March 22.
Of this figure, Vergeire said "one died, 786 recovered and 367 are still active."
As of March 21, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country was at 663,794.
Healthcare workers are the topmost priority in the government’s national COVID-19 immunization program.
The Philippines already received a total donation of 1,125,600 COVID-19 Sinovac and AstraZeneca shots from the Chinese government and the COVAX Facility, respectively.
As of March 20, more than 330,000 healthcare workers have already been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines.
