Filipino celebrities react to rising cases of COVID-19

People are alarmed by the 7,999 new cases that were reported last Saturday March 20, including celebrities.

They expressed their opinions and reactions via social media.

Actress Maja Salvador tweeted; "Stay Safe Everyone", #Wearmask"

You can sense the worry from actress-host comedian Pokwang's tweet: "Panginoong mahabagin ano ito???? Ingat po mga kababayan ko… lalo na yung may senior asama sa bahay Dios ko ingat at yung iba dyan na tigas ulo gimik pa rin ng gimik maawa naman kayo… one year na tayong ganito huy…"

Comedian, vlogger Ramon Bautista compared the number in the Philippines on his tweet: "Kala ko bilang ng isla" while Vice Ganda tweeted: "Grabe nakakatakot!"

Host Gretchen Ho called out the authorities on her tweet: "Back to worse than zero. Where's the action plan? Who's in charge?"

Zsa Zsa Padilla expressed her concern for business owners as she posted: "Ay, back to One. One year na pero balik umpisa? Paano ba makakabangon? Pa-umpisa pa lang ulit na magbukas ibang mga negosyo, pasara na agad. :( Lord, help us!"

With the numbers of cases rising, all are encouraged to stay at home, follow community and national health and safety protocols.
