In its morning weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies will persist over the entire country.

PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the weather system will continue to blow humid winds coming from the Pacific, which will bring warm weather across the country.

Mendoza said Luzon may experience fair weather but isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon or in the evening.

On the other hand, he said that Visayas and Mindanao would have hot and humid weather but there is a possibility that isolated thunderstorms could happen later in the day.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The agency warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

As of Sunday morning, PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, meaning that fishing boats and other small sea craft are allowed to venture out into the sea.
