World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave a surprise shoutout to Super Junior after the release of their comeback album The Renaissance.

The WHO chief particularly highlighted the message of the title track House Party as a fitting reminder to work together and maintain health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ghebreyesusthanked ELF (Everlasting Friends), Super Junior’s fandom for bringing to hisattention the positive message of the song.

The song lyrics mainly revolved around the price that people have to pay in orderto be together again in the future.

While the song did not mention the pandemic in particular, the message was clear as Super Junior used a combination of music genres to caution fans against stepping out without their masks and the dangers of interacting without following the proper protocols.

The video has surpassed 10 million views in the span of two days, proving that after 15 years, Super Junior continues to be a driving force in Kpop.
