Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano called on city residents on Friday to be vigilant and strictly observe basic health protocols especially the EMI (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, and Implement social distancing) Habit to avoid contracting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and stop its spread.

Sa katunayan, mula sa mga unang buwan hanggang katapusan ng 2020 ay pangalawa tayo sa may pinakamababang kaso sa buong Metro Manila (The truth is the city was not in a high risk situation during the early months of the pandemic. We were second to the lowest in Metro Manila in 2020)," Rubiano said.
She noted that the cases only spiked last month after reports on the discovery of new variants.
The city government is doing its best to stop the spread of any variant,), Rubiano added.
She added that the Department of Health (DOH) and OCTA Research Team are supporting the localized lockdown that the Pasay City government has been implementing as a means to avert the spread of the virus.
We need your cooperation in fighting the virus and we are thankful to the DOH and OCTA for saying that we are right in the implementation of localized lockdowns)," Rubiano said.
She called on the residents to support the vaccination program of the city government to help win the battle against COVID-19.
