DepEd turns over e-gadget donations to Negros Oriental schools
Officials of the Department of Education (DepEd) visited the qualified schools in Negros Oriental this week to deliver donated distance learning gadgets in support of the implementation of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP).

DepEd, in a statement issued Friday, March 19, said that its officials from the DepEd Central Office team visited some Last Mile Schools, Nasuji Elementary School in Valencia and Guihob Elementary School in La Libertad to formally turn over donated gadgets and check their facilities.
“With support from our partners, we have sustained our efforts to provide assistance to our Last Mile Schools,” Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said. “Even in these difficult times, our Bayanihan spirit for our learners truly lives on,” she added.
Briones also noted that the delivery of donated laptops and other learning gadgets will also be conducted in other provinces - with priority to Last Mile Schools.
Undersecretary for Administration Alain Pascua and Undersecretary for Field Operations Atty. Revsee Escobedo spearheaded the week-long visit to Negros Oriental as part of the EduAKSYON campaign.
Meanwhile, three clusters of teachers from the recipient schools will also engage in the EdukAksyon Tayo Training on Information technology from March 18 to March 21 that will be conducted by the EdTech team from the Central Office.
School visits to the new Technical-Vocational High School and Division Office, Dumaguete City High School, and several schools in Valencia, Canlaon City, Bayawan City, Bais City, and Tanjay City are also scheduled to oversee the implementation of the BE-LCP.
DepEd Executive Committee members will also hold a meeting with their field counterparts to check on the status of the schools and get their feedback on the activities and projects of the department.
