These police officers mean business.
Philippine National Police-Aviation Security group (PNP-AVSEGroup) National Capital Region (NCR) Chief Christian Melchor said that some 200 of his people have been deployed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to strictly enforce minimum health and safety protocols.

The AVSEGroup members have been tasked to check if passengers, airline crew, and airport employees from terminals 1, 2, or 3 are following the health rules, Melchor said.
Violators will be ticketed and slapped with a P1,000-fine.
The police official said the tickets they use come from the Pasay City government, which has an ordinance on the imposition of minimum health standards amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
The AVSEGroup members patrol the airport grounds in efforts to remind the people there to always wear face masks, face shields, and practice social distancing.
