Valenzuela molecular lab now accepts RT-PCR test for travel, work purposes

The Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory is now accepting individuals who wish to avail of RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) or swab tests for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) for travel requirements and work purposes.

The local government made the announcement in a social media post Thursday, saying those who have domestic or international travels or employees going back to work can be tested.

Companies may also avail of the swab test but only 10 people can be accommodated per batch, it added.

Individuals availing the test must have no symptoms of COVID-19 and no exposure to a person who tested positive for the virus.

The laboratory will accommodate 20 walk-in clients per day and will be open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Clients will only need to present a valid ID (identification card) while date and time of travel for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The RT-PCR test costs P3,800. The results will be sent to the client’s e-mail address after 24 hours.
