More than 400 commuters ferried from PCG's free rides in celebration of Women's Month
More than 400 people have availed of the free rides of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as part of the agency's projects to mark this month's celebration of Women's Month.
In a statement, the PCG said the beneficiaries of their project also include spouses, children, relatives, and even male friends.
“Liban sa mga kababaihan, binibigyan din ng libreng sakay ang mga kasama nilang asawa, anak, kamag-anak, o kaibigan na lalaki (In addition to all women passengers, their spouses, children, relatives, or male friends are also given free rides),” the Coast Guard said in a statement.
The free rides, however, are only from Monday to Friday.
The free rides start at 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. from Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to Mall of Asia (MOA), all the way to Anda Circle. In the afternoon, the trips start at 5:30 p.m. from Port Area in the PCG National Headquarter to MOA and PITX.
The final trip schedule is at 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Anda Circle to MOA and PITX.
The PCG strictly reminded the passengers to follow the minimum health standards such as wearing face masks and face shields, and maintaining distance within the vehicles for the safety of precautions against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
