Free e-book on St. Joseph for kids

Those looking for a way to introduce St. Joseph to their child may check this e-book from a Catholic publisher.

Bayard Philippines said the e-book feature games like crossword puzzles “that would entice young Catholics to learn more” about St. Joseph and Catholic faith.

In a CBCP News post, Assumptionist Father Bernard Holzer said that the materials were intended primarily for catechists and parents to popularize the devotion to Jesus’ foster father.

“We like to give the materials to talk about Saint Joseph among catechists, parents and to children because Bayard likes to become more rooted in the different cultures in the Philippines… the local church teaches and celebrates in the Visayan language too,” he said.

Holzer said the downloadable material on St. Joseph for kids is their contribution for this Year of St. Joseph declared by Pope Francis.

He added that the publication is also their response to the Philippine bishops’ invitation to consecrate the country to the patron of the Universal Church.

“We follow the proposal of Pope Francis for a consecrated year to Saint Joseph. It is also the decision of our Filipino bishops to consecrate to Saint Joseph the entire Philippines,” Holzer said.

The e-book was published on Monday ahead of the Solemnity of St. Joseph on March 19, is available online for free.

It is available in English, Filipino and Visayan languages.
