Why did Rico Blanco say 'love you' to Maris Racal?

Are Rico Blanco and Maris Racal a couple?

This is the question asked by netizens after the 48-year-old singer-songwriter made his presence felt on the 23-year-old actress-singer's Instagram feed, recently.

Not that he initiated it.

Maris herself made it all possible posting a sweet video of her and Rico jamming on Aqualung's "Brighter Than Sunshine."

She wrote as caption, "Hi Rico. Happy birthday" going on to use a yellow smiley wearing a wide-brimmed, brown-leather cowboy hat emoji.

Maris also posted a black and white photo of the former Rivermaya frontman.

Showing his appreciation, Rico commented, "Hahaha love you!!!"

Fans as with some celebrities reacted to the exchange.

Maja Salavador, Awra Briguela, and Chie Filomeno posted heart emojis.

Alex Gonzaga wrote, "Ay iba."

"You go beh," Markus Paterson added.

Antoinette Jadaone, on the other hand, said she thought the two would actually kiss at the end of the clip.
