The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the incident happened around 8:05 a.m. after the female driver of the vehicle "accidentally accelerated the engine" at the parking area of LandBank of the Philippines on the northbound lane of EDSA in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay.

A 44-year-old female employee of the bank sustained physical injuries, according to police.

Photos taken at the site of the accident showed the SUV had entered the bank's premises and stopped right in front of the counters which are located several meters from the entrance of LandBank of the Philippines on Congressional Ave. and damaged several properties, including an ATM (automated teller machine).

Witnesses in the area said they heard a grinding noise when the car's engine started.

Police said charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property with physical injuries would be filed against the driver.
