Seven days after the City of Manila recorded a thousand coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, the number of new and active cases in the city rose to 2,102 on Wednesday, March 17.

The city government recorded 400 new infections, increasing the total number of active cases to 2,102 and bringing the total tally to 31,932, according to its latest case bulletin issued on Wednesday (March 17).
The case bulletin also showed 141 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in the city to 28,993.
The total number of deaths is now at 837 with six new deaths.
The city government strictly enforces unified curfew hours and minimum health protocols amid the surge in COVID-19 cases.
