To further strengthen the implementation of its Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), the Department of Education (DepEd) provided gadgets and a service vehicle for the benefit of the students and teachers in Iloilo province.

The DepEd Central Office (CO) formally turned over gadgets and a service vehicle to the Schools Division Office (SDO) Iloilo Province to help in the delivery of service under the distance learning set-up implemented this school year.
The gadgets and the service vehicle were formally received by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Roel Bermejo and other officials of the Supreme Student Government Federation.
A total of four units of tablets and a pickup vehicle were turned over by the DepEd CO to the SDO-Iloilo.
According to Bermejo, the gadgets and the vehicle will greatly help teachers and students in their school related activities that are anchored on the BE-LCP.
The BE-LCP was crafted by DepEd in May 2020 to provide guidance to the department on how to deliver education during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic while ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all learners, teachers and personnel of the agency.
The SDO-Iloilo, Bermejo said, is also very grateful to DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones and the rest of the Executive Committee (ExeCom) members for “the provision of the needed gadgets and vehicle for the improvement of the delivery of services, especially at the ground level.”
Bermejo added that the tablets and service vehicle will also strengthen the SDO’s monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the DepEd’s BE-LCP to the 1,169 public schools in the said DepEd Division.
The field visits, monitoring, and evaluation of Administration Strand are under the direct supervision of DepEd Undersecretary for Administration Alain Pascua in line with the Strand Interface for Programs and Guidelines (SIPAG) initiative.
