Tessie Tomas' mother, Laura Hermosa, 92

Tessie Tomas is in mourning following the passing of her mom, Laura Hermosa.

Herself an actress, Hermosa died of renal failure Tuesday at her home in Makati City.

Tomas told ABS-CBN News that her mom “died peacefully in her sleep."

A three-day wake and memorial will be held at Arlington Memorial Chapels Quezon City starting Wednesday to be followed by her burial this Saturday at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina.

Hermosa started her showbiz career in radio in the 50s.

She would go on to direct and act in such films as “Broken Marriage” and “Nagbabagang Luha.”
