Power Diva Jessica Villarubin releases debut single 'Ako Naman'

The best is yet to come for The Clash Season 3 grand champion and Power Diva Jessica Villarubin as she releases her debut single under GMA Music titled “Ako Naman.”

Penned by Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, the song is reminiscent of her journey from being a simple Cebuana girl with big dreams to now a rising Kapuso performer. It was also her winning piece during the grand finals of The Clash.

“I’m so grateful talaga na may kanta na ako at composed pa ni Sir Christian. I feel happy and blessed po sa lahat ng mga nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon. Sa kantang ito, mararamdaman ng listeners 'yung mga pinagdaanan ko at kung paano ako pinalakas nito. Sana marami rin ang ma-inspire ng ‘Ako Naman’.”

Joining GMA Network’s all-original musical competition taught Jessica life lessons she’ll cherish and keep with her as she ventures in the music scene, “Marami akong natutunan sa The Clash, especially from the panel, kung saan ako dapat mag-improve sa singing ko. Also, ‘yung friendship na nabuo namin doon, lahat ng learnings from the voice coaches lalo na yung discipline sa pagkanta. Higit sa lahat, natutunan ko kung paano makisama sa mga taong nakapaligid sa 'yo.”

Jessica also expressed her gratitude to all her fans who continue to support her milestones, “I’m very thankful po sa mga taong sumusuporta sa akin, especially po sa mga Cebuano, grabe po ‘yung suporta na ibinahagi nila. I’m forever thankful po talaga sa lahat kasi hindi ko po inexpect na may mga tao po talagang nagmamahal sa akin and ipinagdarasal po ‘yung career ko, thank you po sa inyong lahat.”

“Ako Naman” is now available on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and other digital streaming platforms worldwide.
