Marvin Agustin blasts implementation of curfew, asks if virus is on nightshift

Actor Marvin Agustin's recent reaction about curfew has received mixed reactions.
"Nalilito ako, may curfew sa gabi para daw makaiwas sa COVID-19 pero sa umaga ang daming tao sa labas. Ano ba ang virus? Nighshift (face with tears of joy emoji)," Marvin wrote on Twitter.
"Ahaha baka nga pang nightshift si virus," some netizens agreed.
"Napapagod din si COVID-19. Pwede daw ba magpahinga sa gabi? 1 year na kasi syang virus eh," another quipped.
While some rode-on with Marvin's "joke," others replied seriously, explaining the objective of the two-week uniform curfew hours.
"To lessen the needed frontliners na magbabantay at night, makapagpahinga naman sila. And avoid NON-essential activities like partying, get-togethers after hours. Isip2 din tayo, sana po para di lang MEMA," an online user said.
Another netizen added: "Para yan hindi kayo pumunta sa nightclubs, drinking session, at kung ano ano pang aktibidades na hindi WORK OR TRABAHO."

For two weeks, starting March 15, Metro Manila will implement uniform curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to avoid confusion among the public, especially those who regularly cross the borders.
In another interview, DILG noted that the decision of Metro Manila mayors to impose a two-week uniform curfew hours is expected to compel quarantine violators to behave.
OCTA Research Team couldn't agree more, saying that the reimposition of a longer curfew period in Metro Manila in the next two weeks may help bring about reduction in the projected daily number of COVID-19 cases in the country by the end of March.
