Trending K-pop group Brave Girls cried tears of joy as they won their first ever trophy on a Korean TV music show ten years after debut.

Brave Girls performed their viral song “Rollin’” on the TV program SBS “Inkigayo” on March 14 and took first place on the TV music chart.

They won with total score of 6,270 against SHINee’s “Don’t Call Me,” which had 5,035 and ATEEZ’s “I’m The One” with 4,901.

“Rollin’” was released in March 2017 as the main track of Brave Girls’ album with the same name.

The song started to become popular when YouTube channel Viditor uploaded on Feb. 24 a video of Brave Girls’ various performances of “Rollin’” before Korean soldiers. The video also contained comments from soldiers saying the song is popular in the military for years.

“Rollin’” is experiencing its heyday after four years as it climbed to No. 1 on all Korean music charts and achieved a “Perfect All-Kill” status when it topped all real-time, daily and weekly music charts.

On SBS “Inkigayo,” Brave Girls were visibly surprised and shocked when it was announced that they won and members started tearing up.

“We were on the verge of disbanding. I thought I would never be able to stand on stage again. We are grateful for this big award,” said Minyoung who also thanked the group members for hanging in there until now and her parents.

Yujeong thanked Brave Brothers, aka Kang Dong-chul, who founded their agency, Brave Entertainment, the fans, soldiers and reserve forces for their support.

Brave Girls debuted in 2011 and had member changes through the years. Minyoung, Yujeong, Yuna, Eunji and Hayun started in 2016. In 2018, the four girls began promoting without Hayun.
