DID YOU KNOW? Moira dela Torre once shared a condo with Sam Milby

Not many know this, but Moira dela Torre and Sam Milby are actually quite close.

In fact, Moira and Sam used to live under one roof.

No, it wasn't because they were lovers.

On "Toni Talks," Toni Gonzaga's vlog, Moira related how it came to be.

Moira said it happened when she was just 16 years old and was trying to gain foothold in the biz.

Her mom is based in Olongapo, while her dad is in Las Vegas.

"He (Sam) didn't want me to be alone. So si Kuya Sam, he's very protective. Since wala akong family sa Manila, wala din siya at that time, kami ang naging family," she related.

Moira revealed Sam gave her a brand new guitar.

"Bago ako sumali ng 'The Voice,' 'di pa kami close bigla nag-message siya sa akin. He's really like my brother. Ako 'yung mga wingman sa lahat ng mga naging ex niya," Moira shared.

In the same interview, Moira also talked about how she became a "power composer," relating her "painful experience" growing up really "shaped" her.

"I think being in a broken family, having been in a broken family because my mom and my dad separated when I was four and then my mom remarried when I was seven and I didn't see my dad again until I was 16. So it was 12 years of just not having my dad," she shared.

Though she has a stepdad who raised her well, she still feels like she lost her "stability" and the "security" that she had to have as a child.

"Medyo naging shaky teenage years ko," was how she put it, revealing she was "anorexic" and "bulimic," then around 18 to 19 years old she became "suicidal."

it was during her lowest moments that she wrote the songs "Malaya" and "Tagu-taguan."

She wrote "Tagpuan" when Jason Marvin (her husband) came into her life.
