Thirdy Ravena extended his gratitude to Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko, a day after receiving vocal support from the official.

Ravena, who plays as an Asian import for Japan B.League's San-en NeoPhoenix, took to social media his appreciation for Kazuhiko.

"Arigatou Gozaimasu Ambassador Kazuhiko!" wrote the 24-year-old Filipino basketball star on Instagram with a screenshot of the Japanese envoy's tweet, accompanied with the flags of the Philippines and Japan.

Kazuhiko, in a tweet Saturday, March 13, wished Ravena a speedy recovery and showed immense support to the former Ateneo standout by wearing a Gilas Pilipinas jersey.

The Japanese ambassador also expressed excitement for the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup the country is hosting along with Japan and Indonesia.

Ravena is on recovery period since suffering a fractured right index finger in early January. He earlier tested positive COVID-19 last December.

His team San-en is currently second to the last with a 10-32 record, next to cellar-dweller and No. 20 squad Hiroshima Dragonflies (6-36).
