What Gabby Concepcion, Sanya Lopez like about each other

Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez may just be the new love team that Kapuso fans never knew they needed.

That is, until they caught a glimpse of Gabby's timeless charm and acting prowess complemented by the tender and loving image of Sanya on the teaser of their upcoming primetime series "First Yaya."

In an online mediacon with the cast held on Monday, March 8, Gabby and Sanya both shared some details on how their love team and obvious on-screen chemistry came to be.

Sanya related, "Ano siya very formal, ako kasi ako parang kalog ako talaga; parang di ko siya pwedeng makausap ng sa mga jologs na salita, makasama sa TikTok kaya ang laking bagay talaga nitong lock in taping na to, para mas makilala ang isa't-isa hindi lang sa amin kundi sa buong production eh, isang pamilya na kami at lahat yun ay dahil sa lock in taping."

Gabby agreed, saying "Hindi kami magkaka-bonding kung hindi dahil sa lock in taping. Kaya yung closeness sa lock in, talagang magiging close kayo, sabay kami (Sanya) nag wowork-out and the rest is history."

Asked what they love about each other, Sanya said, "Hinahayaan ka niya po maging ikaw, kasi tiwala siya sa'yo."

On the other hand Gabby, liked the "straightforwardness" of Sanya, saying "Kung minsan merong image kasi na mahirap katrabaho yung artista. Akala ko ganun si Sanya pero hindi! First time ko makakasama ang lahat and it turns out lahat nag blend, nag jive. Mabuti na lang siya yung walang 'front,' wala siyang pinapakitang 'eto ako,' just straightforward, kaya maganda ang work relationship namin, nag-click."

Gabby will play the role of Vice President-turned-President Glenn Acosta who eventually falls for her family maid, Sanya Lopez as Melody Lopez on GMA Network's "First Yaya" premiering on Monday, March 15.
