Public school teachers are scheduled to attend their In-Service (INSET) Training next week, the Department of Education (DepEd) said.

In Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (OUA) Memo 00-0321-0063 issued on March 4 to regional directors, minister of basic, higher, and technical education (BARMM), schools division superintendents, school heads and teachers, Undersecretary Alain Del Pascua announced the said activity for teachers this School Year (SY) 2021-2022.
Pascua noted the schedule for the March 2021 Virtual INSET was adjusted following the release of the DepEd Order No. 012, s. 2021 or the Amendment to DepEd Order No. 030 s. 2020.
DepEd’s Information and Communications Technology Service Educational Technology Unit (ICTS - EdTech) will conduct the said virtual INSET for teachers from March 15 to 19.
Pascua explained that this five-day session aims to “further expand the participants' skills and knowledge on different digital teaching materials, systems and approaches that are useful in delivering quality instruction.”
DepEd also issued a Training Matrix and schedule of activities for the reference of public school teachers during the virtual training.
The virtual INSET, DepEd said, will be streamed live through the Official YouTube Channel of the DepEd EdTech Unit at www.youtube.com/c/educationaltechnologyunit
Pascua added that the virtual INSET will also use the DepEd Professional Development Learning Management System (PD-LMS) to assess the participants and shall follow the "No Output, No Certificate" policy.
