5 drug personalities with P1.3-M shabu nabbed in Novaliches

Five drug personalities, including two who are already facing drug charges, were arrested by the police in two separate buy bust operations that also yielded P1.3 million worth of shabu on Thursday night (March 11) and early Friday morning, March 12.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Brig. Gen. Danilo P Macerin identified the suspects as Venlee Alamin alias “Bunso,” 31, and Oscar Dela Cruz, alias “Waldo”,57 both residents of Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon city.

Based on the police report, an undercover police acted as poseur buyer and bought P50,500 worth of shabu. The sale led to the arrest of the suspects.

The two separate buy-bust operations were conducted by operatives of the Novaliches police at 1:30 a.m.

Retrieved from Alamin and Dela Cruz were 200 grams of shabu worth P1,360,000, a cellular phone, and a brown sedan.

In another buy-bust operation, the suspects were identified as Richard Asne, 28, Armando Torrefiel, 63, and Richard Atajar 32, all residents of Novaliches, Quezon city.

Seized from the suspects were five grams of shabu valued at P34,000, the buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.

Alamin has a previous case for illegal drugs while Dela Cruz had two.

Asne has a previous case of Frustrated murder at Quezon City, RTC, Branch 100 and availed of a plea bargain.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
