PCG offers free rides for women commuters to mark Nat'l Women's Month
For the entire month of March, the Philippine Coast Guard will be offering free rides for all female passengers in celebration of the National Women’s Month.
No, not in their vessels but using their service vehicles.
“Bilang pagkilala sa kontribusyon ng mga kababaihan ngayong National Women’s Month, nagbibigay ng libreng sakay ang PCG para sa mga female PCG personnel at iba pang kababaihan mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes sa buong buwan ng Marso 2021 (In recognition of women’s contribution this National Women’s Month, the PCG is providing free rides for female PCG personnel and other women from Monday to Friday throughout the month of March 2021),” the PCG said in a statement.
The free rides, however, will only be from Monday to Friday.
The free rides will start at 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. from Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to Mall of Asia (MOA), all the way to Anda Circle. In the afternoon, the trip will start at 5:30 p.m. from Port Area in the PCG National Headquarter to MOA and PITX.
The final trip schedule is at 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Anda Circle to MOA and PITX.
The Coast Guard also reminded the passengers to follow minimum health protocols such as wearing a face mask and face shield, as well as maintaining distance inside the vehicle for the safety of passengers at the height of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
