Mccoy de Leon to portray Mayor Isko Moreno in upcoming biopic

Mccoy de Leon has already done some scenes for the upcoming “Yorme: The Musical.”

On the recent Facebook post of Saranggola Media's Edith Fider, Mccoy was spotted as a pedicab driver in Barrio Pritil in the Tondo district.

The upcoming project under the direction of Joven Tan is said to feature the humble beginning of Isko as scavenger to him joining the 1990s youth-oriented talent discovery show “That’s Entertainment” until he was elected Manila Mayor.

In an article published on ABS-CBN, Joven revealed that the film is also a tribute to the late showman German Moreno, who discovered and mentored Isko and many other young stars.

Isko's colleagues in showbiz like Jestoni Alarcon, Tina Paner, Ramon Christopher, Karen Timbol, Lovely Rivero, Ricky Rivero, Brylle Mondejar, Jojo Alejar, Jovit Moya, and Jennifer Mendoza, will have cameos.

The film is set for release in June to coincide with the celebration of the founding of Manila.

As to the actor who will play the older Isko in the film, they are considering JC Santos, Xian Lim, Matteo Guidicelli, and Marvin Agustin.
