Comelec offices in Intramuros to temporarily close from March 11 to 24
The offices of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Intramuros, Manila will be temporarily closed from March 11 to 24, 2021.

The Comelec said the temporary closure of offices is being implemented as a precautionary measure to "prevent the further spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus." This, following reports of documented recent transmission of the COVID-19 disease among employees.
The Comelec offices that will be closed are the Main Office, the Offices of the Regional Election Director of National Capital Region (NCR), Region IV-A and Region IV-B.
Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez, however, assured the public that work remains unhampered. "Preparations for the Palawan Plebiscite as well as the 2022 National and Local Elections are underway and will continue to be undertaken by the officials and employees responsible," he said in statement on Wednesday, March 10.
The Comelec said the offices concerned may be reached during regular working hours through their official e mail addresses and other official online communication platforms.
The poll body's official Facebook and Twitter accounts will also be open for queries from the general public.
