Fortun shared she only felt pain at the injection site.

"God I love the feeling. Salamat sa donors, salamat PGH (Thank you doctors, thank you Philippine General Hospital)," she tweeted.

Sison on Tuesday, March 9, said she experienced low grade fever and body malaise "but nothing a paracetamol tab can't relieve."

On Sunday night, March 7, another 38,400 doses of AstraZeneca's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines arrived in the Philippines. The delivery follows the earlier arrival of 487,200 doses in the country on March 4.

On Monday, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the country has so far vaccinated 44,000 against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 300 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered around the globe so far.
