Sec Berna vows to make dog's 'dream vacation' a reality. Find out what it is

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat could finally fulfill her beloved dog Biggie's "dream vacation" this summer.

Puyat has been busy inspecting different tourist destinations in the country the past few weeks, and this has taken much of her quality time with her adorable pug.

"Biggie must be the only one not happy about the easing of travel restrictions! I’ve been visiting a lot of destinations lately in an effort to help them reopen up to tourism, and I always find little girl waiting up for me when I come home ," she wrote on her Facebook last Thursday, March 4.

But the DOT chief intends to make it up to Biggie soon, with this promise: "Don’t worry Biggie, I’ll make your dream beach vacation come true soon."

Incidentally, Puyat is feeling encouraged by the slow but sure reopening of popular vacations spots like Boracay, Siargao, Coron, and Puerto Princesa.

"There is no stopping summer. Marami nang tourist destinations ang nagbukas ngayon -- nagbukas na ang Boracay, Puerto Princesa -- marami nang pwedeng puntahan ngayon (we can go to a lot of places now)," she said on Saturday, March 6.
