Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, the first person to get the Sinovac jab in Parañaque City, encourages the residents to take advantage of the opportunity to receive additional protection by getting inoculated with either the Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine.

Pagsisihan said that it was an honor and a blessing to become the first recipient of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine and that he now has protection aside from the regular wearing of face mask and face shield.

“I prayed to the Lord for wisdom and for His divine protection,” Pagisishan said before getting inoculated.

The medical director said the best way to encourage his fellow healthcare workers to get vaccinated is by being an example which is why he volunteered to be inoculated first.

“I thank the Lord that I only experienced a very mild discomfort on the injection site which was relieved after one day. No allergic reaction, fever and body pain. It is the usual vaccine that I regularly receive. Now I am symptom free,” Pagsisihan said.
