National Task Force Against COVID-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr., who was also present during the vaccination rollout, promised that another batch of AstraZeneca vaccines will still be turned over to the city government.
The medical director said the city's Health Office Chief Dr. Olga Virtusio was the first person to be inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the country on Saturday, March 6.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez, who was very thankful to the national government, told Galvez they will follow the government's priority list in COVID-19 vaccination program namely the health care workers, men in uniform, senior citizens, and the vulnerable sector.
Olivarez said the city aims to inoculate a total of 3,800 health workers, both from public and private.
