Bannering an all-Filipino roster with his former teammates, ex-Clutch Gamers captain Kenneth "Flysolo" Coloma sees a stronger TNC Predator now.
TNC recently acquired versatile support Marvin "Boomy" Rushton and offlaner Jun "Bok" Kanehara from Smart Omega after parting ways with former South Korean captain Kim "Febby" Yong Min and Australian veteran Damien "kpii" Chok.
The roster change brought together Flysolo's ex-teammates Boomy, carry Kim "Gabbi" Santos and mid laner Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios in Clutch Gamers from 2016 to 2017. Completing that team was Rafael "Rapy" Sicat Palo.
Flysolo, Boomy, Armel and Bok also played together for a short period of time in CG during the latter part of 2017.
That's why Flysolo was surprised when TNC made the roster move after falling short of qualifying for the Singapore Major--the first Major tournament of 2021.
"Oo gulat nga ako, CG 2.0 (Yeah, I was surprised and it's like CG 2.0," he quipped during a short Messenger chat with Manila Bulletin.
Knowing his former CG teammates, Flysolo believes this lineup change will work wonders for TNC as the team tries to redeem itself in the next DPC-SEA Upper Division season and advance to the second Major before the much-awaited The International.
"Mas okay kasi Pinoy lahat. Marami naman din sila experience and no language barrier na rin so makakasabay na talaga sila (The team is better because it's now all-Filipino. They have many experiences and there's no more language barrier so they'll fare better this time)."
Seeing his ex-teammates have a reunion in TNC somewhat made Flysolo miss the Dota 2 professional scene, but he is now focused on rekindling his esports career by carving his own path in the growing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang landscape.
Flysolo, who made the switch to Mobile Legends last month, bared that two-time MPL champion team Aura PH (formerly Sunsparks) reached out to him as the squad might have looked for a potential player or a veteran know-how in the esports industry.
With that, fans might see the former Dota great playing in the MPL soon.
